We have been busy recently on further improvements to the organ. The most recent is to move the giant horn loudspeaker of the Melotone unit out of the Solo Chamber and to remount it in the roof space above the organ chambers. Click for details.
We have also rearranged the layout inside the organ chambers to make room for the (enormous) 32' Diaphone pipes. Click for details.
The Red Brick Barn, which is the home of the Compton Organ, is a 16th century grade II listed Barn fitted out as an entertainment venue. It has been generously made available as a community resource by farmer and Lord of the Manor, Charles Tabor. There are regular events and concerts held both on the organ and by local bands as well as private events.
The Red Brick Barn and adjacent Sutton hall Farm grounds are available for private hire for musical events, weddings etc.
