Len Rawle is a regular at the Barn. You will seldom hear the Compton sound better as he has the ability to coax the most exquisite sounds from the organ. With a family name that is synonymous with the very heart of the organ scene here and overseas, Len Rawle has the benefit of a family steeped in the tradition of theatre organ preservation. More than 40 Theatre organs have passed through the 'saving' hands of the Rawle's! He maintains the Wurlitzers at Kilburn and Woking and heads up a £40,000 project which raised the long entombed Granada Tooting Wurlitzer in South London.

Nick Martin

Nicholas started his musical activities at the age of nine, by first studying the Piano. After 3 years of diligent practice he found himself drawn to the organ and its many tones. It then became his driving ambition to perform at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom; amazingly this ambition was achieved at just 17 years of age!
In 1983, Nicholas became the resident Wurlitzer organist at ‘Turners’ a position he was to hold for the next 21 years.
In 2004 he was pleased to be offered the post of Musical Director at the Wicksteed Pavilion. Nicholas can be seen regularly thrilling audiences with his mastery of the Technics organ.
Nicholas has recorded over 30 albums and is a regular guest on BBC Radio 2’s ‘The Organist Entertains’.
He loves playing to a live audience and is always ready to answer any questions audiences may have.

Saturday 3rd October
Robert Wolfe

Robert Wolfe is recognised as one of the world's leading interpreters of the theatre organ. Acclaimed for his sheer artistry, renowned for his musicality, he is without question one of the top British organists.

At the early age of sixteen, he became the youngest musician at that time to join the team of organists at the world famous Tower Ballroom, Blackpool. After three years, in 1981, he was invited to inaugurate the Wurlitzer show at the Thursford Collection, near Fakenham in Norfolk.

This "sight and sound spectacular" has come to be known locally, nationally and internationally as "The Thursford Experience". From early spring to late autumn, seven days a week, Robert draws large crowds who delight in his warm personality and his unique musical combination of meticulous accuracy and interpretative sensitivity.
