Tuba 16' Bass

The Tuba 16' off chest was removed for a rebuild.

This was previously installed in the lower (accompaniment) chamber when the organ was first installed in the barn. It is the 12 lowest notes of the Tuba rank which is a Solo (upper) chamber stop.

After refurbishment of the wind chest it was reinstalled into the upper chamber.
To overcome the problem of insufficient headroom it was installed with the chest below floor level. We have made a recess in the floor with some floorboards removable for access for servicing purposes.

Tibia Polyphonic bass relocation...

Chest prior to mounting in floor recess to achieve sufficient headroom for pipes.
